About the Project The Port Kembla Energy Terminal will enhance Australia's energy security as the nation's first LNG import terminal.
You'll join an experienced team who are committed to safe, compliant and efficient site performance.
About the Role As a Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you'll carry out day-to-day mechanical maintenance activities across the terminal.
Working under supervision, you'll perform inspections, repairs, preventive and corrective maintenance, and support safe, reliable operation of pumps, compressors, valves, rotating equipment and associated systems.
You'll also oversee contractors and vendors when required, ensuring work is completed safely and in accordance with site procedures.
Key Responsibilities Perform preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance on mechanical systems and equipment.
Carry out hands-on inspections, testing, troubleshooting and repairs on pumps, compressors, valves and hydraulic systems.
Follow safe systems of work including permit-to-work, isolations and confined space requirements.
Record maintenance activities accurately in the CMMS (training will be provided).
Assist with updating maintenance plans, job packs, spare parts identification and technical documentation.
Participate in commissioning, shutdown activities and equipment reliability improvements.
Maintain strong safety practices in all work undertaken.
Skills and Experience Mechanical trade qualification ().
3-5 years' experience in mechanical maintenance, ideally in heavy industry Practical knowledge of rotating equipment, hydraulic systems, pipelines and general mechanical systems.
Familiarity with CMMS systems (SAP preferred) Understanding of safe work systems, isolations and mechanical integrity requirements.
Strong communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills.
Proactive, hands-on approach to field maintenance.
