**About the role**
Expressions of interest for casual disability support worker in the Redland Bay area. Our participant is looking for Female Support Workers that are passionate about working in our industry to continue this success. You will be part of a dynamic team that delivers genuine support in all domains of life to enable access to quality of life with dignity, respect and social inclusion. Your Supported Independent Living (SIL) house.
**Essential to this role is your ability to work flexible hours including morning and afternoon shifts, preferably Monday to Friday 7am - 12pm & 4pm-6pm, and the weekend shifts from 7am - 9am and 4pm to 6pm.**
**What a normal day would look like**
- Understand the needs, goals, and daily activities of Participants.
- Use positive reinforcement and other techniques to support Participants in their daily routines.
- Develop meaningful and qualified relationships with Participants and families.
- Assist with all manual handling and toileting, showers, meals, medication, cleaning and other tasks as required.
- Support daily planning, advocacy, communication and transport in community settings.
**Qualifications required**
- A minimum certificate III, diploma or qualification in disability or relevant area such as aged care, community services, or health.
- Must have a valid drivers licence and own reliable transport
- Current Paid employee Blue Card (or willing to obtain before employment)
- Current Paid employee Yellow Card/NDIS Worker Clearance (or willing to obtain before employment)
- Experience in managing CPAP and Catheter care
- Current First Aid & CPR (or willing to obtain before employment)
- NDIS ‘Worker Orientation’ module (or willing to obtain before employment)
- COVID 19 Infection Control certificate (or willing to obtain before employment)
- Full Australian working rights
- Smart phone with internet access
- Two current (within the past 2 years) professional references from a supervisor will be required
