Cancer Care Specialist Role
This position involves providing advanced clinical social work services to patients undergoing cancer treatment and their families, supporting them through complex emotional, social, and practical challenges.
The ideal candidate will have a recognised degree in Social Work and eligibility for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW). They will possess minimum 5 years post-graduate experience in social work practice, ideally with experience in cancer care or another specialty clinical area. Strong clinical decision-making, communication, and leadership skills are essential for this role.
About the Role:
* Deliver high-level clinical social work services to patients and their families
* Provide leadership, supervision, and mentoring to developing clinicians
* Contribute to service development, quality improvement, and research initiatives within the team
* Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, offering expert advice and integrating the social work perspective into patient care
