Registered Nurse Opportunity
We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team in the Day Procedures unit.
Our facility features four operating theatres specializing in Orthopaedics, General, ENT, Urology, Plastics, Paediatrics, and Trauma procedures.
The successful candidate will be responsible for general nursing duties, pre- and post-operative monitoring, IV management, patient assessment, escalation of deterioration, and multidisciplinary care planning.
* Current Nursing and/or Midwifery Registration with relevant authority is required.
* A person and family-centered approach to care planning and decision-making is essential.
* Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team is necessary.
* Understanding of and ability to work within a quality and risk management framework is required.
* Knowledge of evidence-based practice and its application is highly valued.
* Understanding of WHS legislation related to employee responsibilities is expected.
* Ability to describe clinical governance relevant to nursing/midwifery is desired.
Proficiency in utilizing electronic information systems used in healthcare settings is also required.
This is a fixed-term, part-time position.
