Join our team in Edinburgh Parks, South Australia as part of the JORN team. Reporting to the Software Product Project Engineering Manager, you will join a team of Software Engineers in building the next generation Operations Centre for the world’s most capable Over the Horizon Radar.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Software Product Project Engineering Manager, you will join a team of Software Engineers in building the next generation Operations Centre for the world’s most capable Over the Horizon Radar. You will join the team as an individual contributor, getting hands‑on writing software. Your specialised skill set will complement and enhance the Software Engineering team’s capabilities through collaborative development and peer‑to‑peer coaching activities. You will have opportunity to work closely with our Defence customer, leveraging our industry‑leading collaborative relationship with our end‑user. As a part of our integrated product team, you will get direct experience with the system throughout the development lifecycle, including integration and testing events. Focused initially on Software Development and Software Design, the right candidate will have the potential to extend into areas such as Algorithm Development and Software Architecture.
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Software Engineering, Computer Science or similar degree is considered essential.
- Demonstrated experience in parallel computing using GPUs is considered highly desirable.
- Experience writing CUDA (or equivalent) software is considered highly desirable.
- Experience in High-Performance Computing (HPC) is considered desirable.
- Experienced in SW Engineering development within C++ domain is considered desirable.
- Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain NV1 clearance.
- Eligibility to be cleared for International Traffic In Arms (ITAR) regulations.
Clearances and Security
As a Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and either possess or be eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearances. International Traffic In Arms Regulations (ITAR) are applicable and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
Employment Terms
Full‑time. Versatile work arrangements such as a 9‑day fortnight are available.
