Job Responsibility:
· Apply knowledge of engineering principles to help design, develop and implement practical solutions to technical problems with engineers
Duties:
· Assist engineers and designers with the development and optimisation of plastic products and tooling suited to injection moulding and manufacturing processes.
· Draft and review technical drawings, CAD designs, specifications and moulding instructions for prototypes and final production runs.
· Support the setup, calibration and maintenance of manufacturing equipment, including injection moulding machines.
· Conduct on-floor production and quality assessments, collecting data and feedback to improve product performance, consistency, and manufacturability.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, engineering, production, packaging and logistics) to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.
· Perform quality assurance inspections through all production phases to maintain ISO-aligned standards and customer expectations.
· Provide technical support during prototyping, toolmaking, pilot runs and full-scale production, including troubleshooting material, machine or tooling issues.
· Document and report project progress, design changes and production findings clearly and accurately.
· Train and mentor operators and staff on safe operation and maintenance of specialised equipment, and best practices for producing quality moulded parts.
· Stay informed about industry trends, advanced manufacturing technologies, sustainable materials and process innovations relevant to plastics design and injection moulding
Qualification:
· AQF Bachelor or Higher
· At least 3 year's full-time experience in related field

Pay: $75,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
