Job Title: Support Worker – Relationship-Focused Role with Purpose
We are seeking a genuine, emotionally aware and grounded support worker to join our team. As a person-led role, this is about doing things with someone rebuilding life on their own terms after trauma.
This role involves working one-on-one with regular routines and clear expectations. You will be supporting daily routines, engaging in light activities such as cooking or gardening and respectfully supporting emotional regulation and sensory needs.
Responsibilities:
* Supporting daily routines including showering, dressing and prompting medications
* Cooking and sharing meals together
* Engaging in light activities such as cooking, going for short drives or gardening
* Respectfully supporting emotional regulation, sensory needs and communication challenges
* Light household duties (washing, tidying, preparing for the day)
* Attending in-home appointments or liaising with the support team
About the Client:
The client is a woman in her early 70's with an acquired brain injury who requires a steady and supportive presence in her daily life.
Requirements:
* NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
* Valid driver's licence and insured vehicle
* First Aid & CPR (or willingness to obtain)
* Availability for regular set days and overnight shifts
* Willingness to undergo onboarding and mentoring in ABI, trauma-informed support and communication strategies
* Ability to provide or obtain a current photo
