Job Description

As a Distribution Design Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the upgrades of major energy providers' distribution grids.
This engineer will aid in developing design and construction work packages for electrical overhead and underground distribution systems operating from 4kV through 138kV.
The focus is on complying with company and client safety requirements as well as design and quality expectations.
Detailed Responsibilities:

1. Develop permitting documents for different AHJ's
2. Provide engineering support during construction, including post-construction reviews to ensure all applicable engineering and construction standards have been met.
3. Conduct root cause analysis of outages and mitigation using engineering principles and design.
The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor of Science in an Engineering discipline (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial) from an ABET accredited institution.
They should possess experience with Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools, strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, and be able to demonstrate technical expertise in the field.
Required Skills and Qualifications

* Experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD
* Strong knowledge of electrical distribution systems and network design
* Ability to perform complex engineering calculations
* Experience with computer-aided design (CAD) tools
