The Parliamentary Services Department is seeking a highly experienced and visionary Chief Information Officer (CIO) to lead our Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Unit. This is an opportunity to join the Executive Management Group and play a pivotal role in delivering innovative, secure, and reliable ICT services to support the operations of Parliament and its Members.
Responsibilities
 * Lead the delivery of ICT services across the Parliamentary Precinct, supporting the Parliamentary Departments and Members of Parliament in their work at Parliament House.
 * Manage a skilled team of 17 professionals and oversee both daily operations and a transformative multi-year ICT roadmap.
 * Drive strategic ICT planning and infrastructure development.
 * Lead the implementation of new systems and technologies.
 * Manage stakeholder engagement and change communication.
 * Ensure robust cybersecurity and compliance with industry standards.
Selection Criteria
 * Proven leadership in delivering customer-focused ICT services aligned with best practices.
 * Strong people management and team leadership skills fostering a client-centric culture.
 * Excellent stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and communication abilities.
 * Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a track record of innovation.
 * In-depth understanding of contemporary ICT practices in complex environments.
 * Experience applying industry standards and best practices.
 * Sound knowledge of current cybersecurity threats and mitigation strategies.
 * Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic ICT plans.
Highly Desirable
 * Tertiary qualifications in Information Systems, ICT, or a related discipline.
 * Recognised professional ICT certifications, such as ITIL, Prince 2.
