Fixed-term (12 months), part-time of 0.5 FTE (38 hoursfortnightly) Practitioner – Health and Wellbeing (Alcohol& Other Drugs) based on the North West Coast

Our Addictions services provides support for those affected byalcohol, drug and gambling addictions across Tasmania. Our servicesprovide support not just to those who are experiencing problembehaviours, but also for those directly impacted such as friendsand families.
About the Role:
Anglicare Drug and Alcohol Treatment Service (ADATS) is an earlyintervention and psychosocial community-based program forTasmanians (14 years and older) who have experienced negativeimpacts from the use of alcohol and/or other drugs, includingtobacco and vaping. ADATS provides an intensive, trauma-informed,personalised service for each individual, and if appropriate, theirfamilies and partners.
To be successful you will have:
* An understanding of the processes people utilise toovercome adversity/distress arising from life challenges.
* An ability to recognise and understand people’sintrinsic resourcefulness.
* Provide support in a manner consistent withAnglicare’s values and practice principles.
* Demonstrate high level of communication and interpersonalskills with people who access our services, family/carers,colleagues, other service providers and stakeholders.
* Ability to accurately document and maintain records.
* Demonstrated experience with relevant information andcommunication technologies.
* Ability to work autonomously within organisational policyand procedure.
* A high level of professionalism and a willingness todevelop and reflect on professional practice.
* Knowledge and understanding of current best practice insupporting people with a range of social issues includingchildren, young people and their families.
* Relevant degree level qualifications (Social Work,Psychology, Nursing, Allied Health), or essentially requiredaccreditation from a recognised institution.
* Demonstrated experience providing support to people facingadversity and challenges in their lives.

* an attractive salary of $88,465.52 to $92,713.92 (Full-timeequivalent)

The successful applicant will be requiredto:
* provide a current Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable PeopleRegistration (employment/volunteer category) including NDISWorker Screening Check
* present an unsupervised contact with children or vulnerablepeople type National Police Check (no older than 12months);
* provide an International Police Check if you have residedfor 12 months or more outside of Australia after the age of16;
* provide a satisfactory Anglicare-assessed medical:
* provide a current provisional or full AustralianDriver’s Licence.
On commencement, the successful applicant will be required toundertake our structured Safeguarding Children Trainingprogram.
