About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Regulatory and Compliance professional to join our team and play a key role in ensuring Epic Energy meets its compliance obligations while supporting the business to manage regulatory and compliance risk and achieve its strategic objectives.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys interpreting complex regulatory frameworks, providing clear advice, and engaging with regulators and industry stakeholders. You will work closely with the General Counsel and Company Secretary, the executive team, and operational leaders to provide expert guidance on regulatory compliance, implement and maintain Epic Energy's Compliance Management System, and support the ongoing development of a strong compliance culture across the business.
What we are looking for
We are looking for someone who is proactive, analytical, and confident navigating complex regulatory environments. You will be able to translate technical regulatory requirements into clear advice and practical solutions for the business.
You will bring:
* 7+ years' experience in regulatory, compliance, or legal advisory roles, ideally within the energy industry (gas or electricity)
* Tertiary qualifications in law, economics, business, or a related discipline
* Proven experience preparing regulatory submissions, providing strategic advice and stakeholder engagement, with experience engaging with the AER, AEMO or ACCC highly regarded
* Strong understanding of National Electricity Rules, National Gas Rules and other relevant energy regulations preferred
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
* Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to make well-reasoned professional decisions
* A proactive, collaborative approach and the ability to work independently
