Production Planning Role

FIFO 8:6 | Northern Operations
This pivotal role reports to the Senior Planning Engineer and operates on an 8 days on, 6 days off FIFO roster from Perth. Based at Westgold's Northern Operations, this is an excellent opportunity for a motivated mining professional with 2+ years of experience in a Production Engineering role and a strong interest in transitioning into the Planning space.
You will play a key role in supporting the mining operations team by delivering safe, timely, and accurate plans aligned with production targets and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop development designs in line with 13-week plans
* Prepare stope designs for production engineering use
* Deliver Mini-DAF and DAF designs
* Complete stope notes and stope reconciliations
* Assist in preparing 13-week schedules as required
* Review drilling and blasting plans
* Produce ventilation models for short- to medium-term planning
* Manage ad hoc projects as directed by the Senior Mining Engineer and UG Manager
* Identify key activities and critical path processes for budgets, forecasts, and weekly plans
* Mentor and support junior engineers
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering
* Minimum 2 years' experience in production drill & blast
* Planning experience is desirable but not essential
* Exposure to forecasting and budget preparation
* Familiarity with Deswik UGDB or similar design software
* First Class Mine Manager's Certificate (desirable)
