Position Overview: The Works Programmer is a key role within our construction team, responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of multiple projects simultaneously. This position requires a hands-on approach, ensuring successful delivery of construction works while managing labour resources and liaising with various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and manage project schedules and timelines to ensure timely completion of construction activities.
* Coordinate and supervise multiple workers across various projects to maintain productivity and quality standards.
* Oversee the ordering and management of materials, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with project specifications.
* Collaborate with the storeman for efficient inventory control and supply chain management.
* Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices in all construction activities.
* Maintain effective communication with project managers, subcontractors, and clients regarding project progress and issues.
* Utilize Simpro software for project tracking, reporting, and resource management.
* Assist in scheduling and coordinating workers for specialty tasks such as waterproofing, concreting, and epoxy flooring when necessary.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience in the construction industry, with a strong understanding of construction processes.
* Experience with waterproofing, concreting, and epoxy flooring is highly beneficial.
* Proficiency in the use of Simpro or similar project management software.
* Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively manage teams.
* Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Education:
* Any qualifications or courses in construction management or a related field is preferred.
