Special Education Support Role
This is a key support role for students with special needs at our secondary school.
The successful applicant will provide assistance to students and teachers in the delivery of planned education programs. This may involve working one-on-one with students, supporting them in their classes or assisting teachers with preparation and organization.
A key focus of this role is to promote a supportive and inclusive learning environment that enables all students to reach their full potential. This requires excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff members to meet the diverse needs of students.
We are seeking applicants who have knowledge and experience working with students with a range of disabilities and learning difficulties. The ideal candidate will be able to support student growth both academically and socially within the classroom setting.
In addition to providing direct support to students, the successful applicant will also participate in the evaluation process relating to the achievement of goals in special education. They will need to be able to provide constructive feedback on education and therapy programs and assist teachers in understanding individual student needs.
