About the role
With a strong pipeline of work, our Melbourne Property &Developments team have a brand new full-time role available for a Lawyer with at least 2 years' PAE. The team act for some of Australia's most well-known brands, making this an excellentopportunity for a Lawyer looking to build on their skillset with complex and interesting deals. You will have direct access to Partners and senior Lawyers, and the benefit of strong secretarial support. Some of your day-to-day tasks and responsibilities will include:
- Managing conveyancing and property settlements across Victoria through the PEXA platform
- Preparing, negotiating and reviewing commercial leases, agreements for lease, licences and related documents
- Drafting and reviewing contracts of sale and related documents (including caveats and s27 statements) for residential and commercial properties
- Lodging plans through the SPEAR platform
- Conducting legal research and advising on a broad range of property related matters
- Assisting with financial settlements across Victoria
- Assisting with due diligence for property and commercial transactions
About you
To be successful in this role, you will be an admitted Lawyer with at least 2 years' post-admission experience in property law. Our clients are at the centre of everything we do, so your commitment to providing exceptional client service will be of great importance. To compliment your strong legal skills, you will be someone who has excellent verbal and written communication skills, a commercial mindset, and works well both in a team and autonomously. You will be someone who enjoys problem solving, demonstrates sound judgement, and has strong file management and organisational skills.
