The Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage is seeking a highly motivated Road Planning Project Officer to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting in delivering road planning projects, reporting on transport matters related to urban planning and development applications, and investigating and contributing to a range of transport planning and policy issues.
Your primary responsibilities will include engaging with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement transport plans and policies that shape the future of Western Australia's infrastructure.
* To succeed in this position, you must have skills, knowledge, and experience in transport planning, traffic engineering, traffic modelling, and/or road design.
* You should also possess well-developed skills, knowledge, and experience in critical thinking and problem-solving, including a high level of conceptual and analytical ability.
The successful candidate will hold a degree in Civil, Traffic, or Transport Engineering or Urban/Regional Planning and demonstrate leadership behaviours within the context of Personal Leadership.
