**The role**:
The
**Kindergarten Inclusion Support (KIS) program** aims to provide assistance to teachers and kindergarten while they support young children with disabilities.
Gateways is the only approved provider for the Western Melbourne and Barwon region and helps hundreds of kindergartens.
We are now looking for a new
**KIS Program Convener** to join our Team based in Geelong.
Here are some of your responsibilities:
- Implement the KIS program in accordance with the KIS guidelines.
- Organise and convene the Regional Advisory Group (RAG) process.
- Provide information, support and guidance to all KIS service users.
- Liaise with DET regarding funding and data requirements under the direction of the Team Leader - Families and Early Childhood.
- Confirm the membership of the Regional Advisory Group (RAG) each year based on the KIS guidelines.

**About you**
To be successful in this role you will need:
- A demonstrated experience managing block funded programs.
- Have a previous experience with liaising effectively and working in partnership with the Department of Education and Training.
- Being comfortable with chairing meetings and communicate appropriately with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficient skills in Microsoft Office packages and program specific databases.
- High standards of ethical and professional behaviour.
**Additional requirements**:
- You will need to obtain (if not already) a NDIS Screening Check
- Working With Children Check is also mandatory.
- Current Driver's licence
Successful applicants will be required to supply a current Working with Children Check for an employee. If you have lived outside of Australia for more than 12 months in the last 10 years, you will be required to supply an international police check from the country where you lived. Employment cannot commence until this check is received and assessed.
Shortlisted applicants will also be required to undertake the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission online Worker Orientation training module called 'Quality, Safety and You' prior to attending induction. This is a pre-employment requirement and if not completed, employment will not proceed.
