About the Role
This is a pure business generating role.
A private business is seeking a highly driven, commercially sharp field-based Sales Lead whose primary responsibility is to bring revenue through the door. This role exists to generate new clients, not to maintain existing relationships. This is a hands-on hunter role focused on door-to-door outreach, cold prospecting, face-to-face meetings, and closing new clients across targeted SME industries. You will own the full sales cycle from lead generation to close, with performance measured on results, not activity. This role suits a commercially sharp self-starter who thrives on rejection, accountability, and uncapped earning potential.
You will be hands-on, on the ground, actively engaging with businesses through:
* Cold outreach
* Face-to-face meetings
This is not a desk-based sales role. If you are uncomfortable initiating conversations, handling rejection, or pushing for meetings and decisions, this role will not be suitable.
Key Responsibilities
You will be accountable for:
* Actively prospecting small to medium businesses across targeted industries
* Door-knocking, walk-ins, cold calling, and follow-up meetings
* Booking and attending face-to-face meetings with decision-makers (Owners, CFOs, Finance Managers)
* Clearly pitching outsourcing services (Accounting, Bookkeeping, Payroll, Admin & Resourcing)
* Identifying pain points and presenting cost-saving outsourcing solutions
* Managing the sales pipeline from lead → meeting → proposal → close
* Closing deals and handing over successfully to the delivery team
* Maintaining accurate CRM records and reporting weekly activity
* Representing professionally in the market at all times
* Demonstrated expertise in lead generation and new business development activities
Target Clients & Industries
Experience or exposure in the following industries will be highly regarded:
* SMEs with internal finance/admin teams
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
This role is measured on outcomes, not effort.
* Minimum number of new meetings booked per week
* Minimum number of qualified opportunities created per month
* Monthly and quarterly revenue targets

Commission & Incentives
This role includes a strong performance-based commission structure.
* Base salary + uncapped bonus
* Commission paid on revenue generated from onboarded clients
* Accelerators for exceeding targets
* Long-term commission potential on retained clients (where applicable)

About You
To succeed in this role, you must have:
* Proven experience in business development, sales, or field sales
* A strong hunter mentality – you enjoy finding and winning new business
* Confidence approaching business owners and senior decision-makers
* Resilience and persistence – rejection does not slow you down
* Strong communication and negotiation skills
* Ability to work independently and take full ownership of results
* A valid driver's licence and willingness to be on the road
* Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant sales or business development experience
* Australian work rights are required for this position
Education & Experience
* Relevant experience in sales, business development, recruitment sales, or professional services sales is essential
* Experience selling services (rather than products) will be highly regarded
* Experience specifically selling services rather than products is strongly preferred for this role.
* Exposure to finance, accounting, outsourcing, or professional services is an advantage
* A bachelor's degree in accounting or business commerce is desirable.
