About This Role
We are seeking an experienced Key Account Strategist to lead our sales efforts in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within our global network. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in B2B sales, with a strong focus on building and maintaining key customer relationships.
Responsibilities
* Prospect for new business opportunities through direct outreach, on-site customer meetings, and consultative selling to identify current and future connectivity solutions.
* Position Cogent services leveraging the global network footprint (commercial/retail buildings, carrier-neutral hotels, data centers, colocation facilities).
Requirements
* Proven track record of hunting, quota attainment in direct B2B sales with 3-8+ years of experience in telecom with collocation, wholesale, and data transit/transport.
* Strong prospecting, qualification, and ability to generate new business, excellent oral and written communication skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment with revenue deadlines.
