**About the role**
Reporting directly into the Financial Manager, the Accounts Assistant is engaged with the task of driving the holistic accounts processes and being the first point of contact for inbound calls from customers and suppliers. Your responsibilities would include but not limited to:
- Recording all invoices into XERO on a daily basis.
- Preparing EOM creditor reconciliations on a monthly basis.
- Raising creditor payments weekly and monthly.
- Daily bank reconciliations and issuing receipts to clients.
- Attending to Accounts Payable queries promptly and professionally.
- Processing fortnightly payroll and superannuation contributions.
- Requesting and recording subcontractor insurance details.
- Preparation of month end file for review by Finance Manager.
- Fleet management - management of the fuel cards and tolls.
- Assistance with ad-hoc reception tasks.
- Team player mindset with strong interpersonal skills
- Construction industry and 1-2 years experience in a similar role would be advantageous
- Enthusiastic and driven approach to work
