Sponsorship may be considered for overseas applicants.The role:As an Infection Control and Prevention Manager, you will demonstrate the ability to provide safe and quality nursing care to patients, utilizing the primary nursing model of care and nursing competency standards.
Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive patient assessments, evaluating care outcomes, and maintaining accurate documentation.The Infection Prevention and Control Manager is a senior leadership role responsible for:Ensuring all services meet best practice standards to prevent infection and minimize risks to patients and staff.Providing expert advice on the prevention and management of diseases caused by microorganisms.Offering clinical education and orientation on infection control to staff and patients, in collaboration with the education team.Enhancing safety through effective clinical governance, risk management, quality improvement, and evidence-based infection prevention practices.Leading clinical and operational strategies aligned with the local services plan and Infection Prevention & Control Management Plan.Fostering collaboration between the Infection Prevention & Control Unit, clinicians, and the executive team.Auditing and monitoring infection control and hand hygiene data, interpreting results, and reporting to relevant stakeholders.Conducting monthly surveillance using HICMR tools and guidelines, reporting findings on surgical site infections, CAUTIs, MROs, and other significant infections.Supporting COVID-19 management and decision-making by providing updates and communication to staff.Collaborating with frontline managers and the executive to implement recommendations from HICMR reports.The Benefits:Variety of work across different facilities.Skills & Experience:Current experience in an acute hospital environment with clinical knowledge and problem-solving skills.Management experience and Division 1 AHPRA registration or eligibility to apply.How to apply:If interested, apply now or contact Chris Matthews-Darby at 0413 761 960 for more information.About Medacs Healthcare:Medacs Healthcare is a leading staffing and services company providing temporary, locum, and contract recruitment in the healthcare sector.
