About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled Culinary Professional to lead our kitchen team. As a full-time Chef, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional culinary experiences for our customers.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Menu Planning and Development: Create innovative menus that showcase local produce and cater to diverse customer preferences.
2. Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook high-quality dishes to exacting standards, ensuring presentation and portion sizes meet our expectations.
3. Kitchen Management: Supervise kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
4. Inventory and Ordering: Manage food inventory and supplies, ordering ingredients and equipment as needed.
5. Quality Control: Ensure food is fresh, properly stored, and prepared safely, tasting dishes before serving.
6. Health and Safety Compliance: Adhere to hygiene, sanitation, and food safety standards, ensuring the kitchen meets local regulations.
Requirements:
1. Relevant qualifications (Minimum Cert IV in Cookery) and at least 3 years of experience as a Chef.
2. A proven track record of preparing high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment.
3. Excellent time management and organizational skills.
4. Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety.
5. Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
