We aim to amplify the voices of individuals impacted by road trauma to drive awareness and inspire positive change in community attitudes and behaviours. Our organisation educates the public about the devastating effects of road trauma on lives, influencing drivers to adopt safer practices and reduce crashes.
As a volunteer with our program, you'll be part of a network of people who have experienced road trauma sharing their stories to create a ripple effect of safety across local communities. Each volunteer brings a unique perspective to road safety, making them familiar faces in town.
We use a restorative justice model to empower those affected by traumatic events to promote road safety in their local areas. Volunteers share their personal experiences in a safe environment, which has led to 95% of participants committing to changing their approach to driving after attending one of our programs.
Upon joining us, you'll receive comprehensive training and support from dedicated regional coordinators and counsellors. You'll have opportunities to speak at various community groups, schools, workplaces, and driver-specific programs. Your role will play a significant part in shaping a culture of safety across the general community through government initiatives, enforcement strategies, and media campaigns.
