We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Retail Store Manager to lead our team and ensure the smooth and profitable operation of our store.
About the Role
As the Retail Store Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of all store operations, leading a dedicated team, achieving sales targets, and ensuring compliance with IGA standards and Australian legislation.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Determine product mix, stock levels and service standards in line with IGA's operational model
* Plan and implement purchasing and marketing strategies
* Set prices and promotions in line with profitability goals and supplier agreements
* Sell goods and services to customers and advise on product use
* Oversee inventory control and maintain records of stock levels and financial transactions
* Undertake budgeting and financial reporting
* Recruit, train, and supervise staff; manage rosters for 24/7 shift coverage
* Ensure store compliance with occupational health and safety regulations
* Maximise customer satisfaction and staff productivity
* Collaborate with suppliers and head office to meet strategic objectives
Requirements
* Minimum 3 years proven experience in a similar role, preferably within an IGA environment
* Strong leadership and team management skills
* Flexibility to work 18/7 shifts (5.00AM – 10.00 PM), including weekends and public holidays
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Full working rights in Australia
* Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents will be given priority consideration
Desirable Qualifications
* Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Business, Retail, or Management (highly regarded)
* Knowledge of IGA systems, Metcash procedures, and POS software
Salary & Conditions
Base salary from $77,000 per annum + Superannuation
Full-time permanent role with a minimum of 38 hours per week
