Key responsibilities include:
* Prepare and deliver training services to operational employees, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Conduct assessments of driver skills and knowledge, including pre-employment and ongoing evaluations.
* Develop and deliver training sessions on topics such as safe loads, dangerous goods, and fatigue management, utilizing hands-on practical approaches.
* Review and improve training programs to reflect competency level requirements for operational employees, aligning with industry standards.
* Manage training records for operational employees, maintaining accurate and up-to-date information.
The successful candidate will require:
* Demonstrated experience in the transport industry with current MC, SLP, and DG licenses, showcasing a strong understanding of road transport methods in Western Australia.
* Practical hands-on experience driving mini-tankers, rigs, semis, and road trains, with a focus on delivering fuel safely and efficiently.
* Certificate IV in Transport and Logistics (Road Transport – Driving Instruction) or equivalent qualification, demonstrating a commitment to ongoing learning and development.
* Knowledge and understanding of legislative requirements, including regulatory compliance and safety protocols, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a real-world setting.
