Estimator Role Overview
The Estimator role is a key position that oversees the production of Bill of Quantities (BOQs), manages updates and creates a database of items based on specifications and upgrades for modern display homes. The role partners with internal and external teams to review BOQs, refresh them monthly and record summary pricing details.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist stakeholders in production of new Master designs BOQs
* Review and update BOQs on a monthly basis
* Refresh BOQs and record summary pricing details
* Create new product framework and produce retail price lists
* Manage Display Homes BOQs, create databases and update accordingly
* Complete cost analysis for procurement teams
* Update sales specifications and facilitate ACC templates
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess tertiary qualifications, a degree or Certificate IV in Building & Construction Management. Professional experience in a similar role is essential, with a minimum of 2 years' experience in Class 1 residential construction.
Desirable Skills
* Working knowledge of the Building Code and regulations
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
* Experience with SAP, DataBuild and relevant estimating software
* Strong problem-solving skills, structured thinking and analytical approach
