The Opportunity
TAFE SA is seeking an experienced Asset Area Manager with a strong program management and delivery focus to lead planned and unplanned asset maintenance activities across a nominated portfolio. This role is responsible for coordinating multiple maintenance programs delivered by internal teams and external contractors, ensuring safe, timely, and compliant outcomes that support teaching delivery. Working with a high degree of autonomy, the Asset Area Manager plans, prioritises, and oversees day‐to‐day delivery while aligning outcomes to TAFE SA's strategic objectives and government policy. The role requires strong coordination across buildings, complex plant and equipment (including for teaching purposes), and stakeholder engagement in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
What We're Looking For
5. Strong program and service delivery experience in asset and facilities management environments
6. Experience managing budgets in an operational environment, including forecasting, planning and monitoring expenditure, supporting accurate financial reporting, and ensuring costs are appropriately tracked and managed in line with approved priorities.
7. High‐level communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to influence and manage issues professionally
8. Proven ability to plan, coordinate, and deliver multiple work programs with competing priorities
9. Sound knowledge of the across government facilities management agreement, procurement guidelines and other government policies
10. Experience overseeing contractor led works and maintenance service outcomes
Qualifications in asset management, engineering, construction or a trade-based qualification are desirable.

A valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) issued by the South Australian Department of Human Services is required before employment.
