The Gawler Aquatic Centre is on the lookout for dedicated lifeguards to join our team for the 2024/2025 Summer Season. Responsibilities
Actively supervising all pools and ensuring the safety of patrons
Promote the Watch Around Water principles to the public
Respond to first aid and emergency situations as per training and procedures
Attend team meetings and training sessions
Ensure compliance with secure work practices and WHS policies
Assist with the effective operation and cleanliness of the Centre
Provide high levels of customer service and positively promote Centre programs to patrons and members of the local community
Handle cash accurately and undertake reception duties as needed
Certifications You Will Need (or be willing to obtain)
Provide First Aid
Pool Lifeguard
CPR
Working With Children Check
Desirable Qualifications
AUSTSWIM or equivalent Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety Qualification
Child Safe Environments/Mandated Notification
