**The Role**
People Support:
- Will have the opportunity to work across a diverse spectrum of workforce management activities.
- Excellent prospect for an experienced workforce professional to use their skillsets to support the Director and the wider team to achieve the team's deliverables.
- Responsible for the coordination and management of a wide range of activities within the Branch including, but not limited to; managing a team; managing the CASG people governance processes; broad range of HR activities, such as managing CASG remuneration activities, ad hoc requests to support the CASG Executive.
- You will be involved with a wide variety of workforce and governance tasks which will provide development opportunities and become a trusted employee in the team.
Governance:
- Will be accountable for managing allocated resources, setting work area.
- Manage and lead a team, including provide clear and consistent communication, set clear performance and behavioural standards, manage performance, delegate responsibility and guide and develop people.
- Perform complex to very complex procedural, operational, administrative and business management activities that support the delivery of outcomes across Defence.
**About our Team**
Business Operations branch provides essential elements of governance and communications to support CASG. Each of the Directorates contribute to these objectives by leading initiatives, building close relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and improving our adaptive capacity through strategic planning, risk and assurance management, information sharing and business process improvement.
Assistant Director CASG People Support:
- To succeed in this role, you will need to be flexible and adaptable to the changing priorities and willing to assist the broader team as required.
- It is essential you have experience in general HR, governance processes and familiarity with PMKeys.
- Possess good verbal and written communication skills.
Assistant Director Governance:
- Will be able to exercise a considerable degree of independence to perform this leadership role.
- Be able to exercise sound decision making and judgement to provide expert policy advice. Have in-depth knowledge of the administration function be able to engage in complex to very complex problem-solving issues.
- Have the ability to develop and implement work plans, set performance indicators, review individual, team and business performance and continually build and improve team capability.
