Latrobe Regional Health has an exciting opportunity for a qualified Associate Unit Manager to join the Parent and Infant Unit team on a fixed term basis until 21 January 2024.
The Agnes Unit is a residential Parent and Infant Unit, established to provide specialist emotional and psychological support to families experiencing postnatal difficulties following the arrival of a new baby, up to twelve months of age. The unit accommodates up to 5 families providing 24/7 therapeutic and clinical support to new parents and their infants.
The ANUM plays an important role in the management, co-ordination, leadership and assistance in the development of the unit, ensuring a high standard of parent and infant centred care and patient outcomes.
The successful applicant will:
4. Have division 3 Registered Nurse or Division 1* Registered Nurse with post basic qualification in psychiatric nursing holding registration with AHPRA or,
5. Be a Registered Nurse Division 1 with post basic qualification in midwifery and/or paediatrics
6. Work with clients who have perinatal depression and/or anxiety, a history of trauma, relationship concerns, bonding issues and adjustment disorders
7. Work with infants that may be experiencing sleeping and settling and/or feeding difficulties
8. Work with new parents and infants. However, consideration will be given to nurses who possess the required personal attributes, as the unit supports training and development
