Job Opportunity
This is a full-time position on a 3-year contract.
Main Responsibilities:
* Create and deliver effective education and behaviour change campaigns, programs, and initiatives in the community, schools, and businesses.
* Design and implement community-specific content, tools, and marketing materials to maintain consistency across all executions of the waste management brand.
* Manage the day-to-day operations and continuous improvement of the waste volunteer program.
* Pursue partnerships with government agencies, commercial entities, and community organisations to leverage waste education strategies and other initiatives that benefit stakeholders.
* Prepare reports, business cases, and coordinate grant applications.
* Conduct research to better understand existing behaviours and barriers to desired behaviour change.
* Establish performance targets and monitor outcomes.
* Contribute to the development, implementation, and review of waste management policies, strategies, plans, and priorities.
About You
* Knowledge of behaviour change principles, focusing on education and community engagement.
* Demonstrated experience in developing engaging educational programs, with an ability to connect with diverse audiences.
* Understanding of waste management practices and challenges.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, tailoring messaging for various audiences.
* Creative problem-solving approach, using evidence-based methods.
* Strong organisation and time management skills, building relationships with stakeholders.
* Tertiary qualification or relevant equivalent experience in education, training, community engagement, marketing, or a related field.
* Passion for education, sustainability, and community impact.
* Holding a South Australian Class C driver's licence and a current DHS Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain one).
