A global provider of investment and financial services and software for the financial services Named to Fortune 1000 list as top U.S company. This division of technology focuses on providing comprehensive services and technology solutions to asset managers, insurance companies, wealth managers, and other financial institutions.
This role will see you oversee and manage relationships with vendors, ensuring that the company has robust risk management practices with its third parties. This role owns the vendor management framework, leading internally to ensure monitoring and oversight of vendor performance to mitigate impacts to business operations and drive sound commercial outcomes. The role will ensure compliance with CPS230 requirements and alignment with global procurement policies.
Key accountabilities:
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendor owners, global stakeholders and strategic partners
* Own and drive transitional service agreement portfolios, enabling program execution to achieve business objectives
* Define vendor performance management practices, driving for critical suppliers and providing oversight and compliance reporting with obligations
* Manage vendor risk assessments to ensure robust and resilient services
* Manage and oversee vendor action plans, ensuring performance is within acceptable tolerances

• Resolve any issues or disputes with vendors in a timely manner
* Ensure compliance with CPS230 requirements, including effective management of operational risks and maintaining critical operations through disruptions
* Outline contract uplift approach for third party contracts to align with CPS230 obligations
* Drive the organisation's adoption of uplifted vendor management practices
Oversee and manage the implementation of the vendor management framework
* Align vendor management practices with global procurement policies to ensure consistency and compliance
* Align vendor management framework with Australian regulations, particularly APRA (where applicable)
* Review vendor contracts and work alongside the legal team to ensure agreements align to policies and practices.
* Facilitate regular vendor performance oversight and assessments.
* Maintain accurate records of vendor contracts, communications, and performance metrics.
* Support the onboarding of new vendors and ensure they meet company standards
* Ensure formal agreements and robust monitoring of service providers
* Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
* Prepare and present regular reports to senior leadership, highlighting vendor performance, risks, compliance status and any ongoing issues
* Other responsibilities may be added to the role as the nature of the business changes.
Skills and experience
* A relevant bachelor degree with a strong working history in Vendor management and procurement processes within complex global matrix organisations
* It is critical that you have implemented, deployed and overseen a vendor management frame work in line with CPS230 standards
* Critical is your experience with Transition Services Agreements (TSAs)
* Solid experience in managing supplier performance including strategies for non performing vendors
* Strong negotiation and contract management skills
* Excellent organisational, prioritisation, critical thinking and decision-making skills
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to anticipate potential issues
* Good communicator (verbal and written) with attention to detail
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
