About The Role
We are looking for a dedicated Pharmacy Assistant / Technician to join our busy team based at Wagga Wagga Base Hospital. In this role, you will work closely with our pharmacists to deliver exceptional healthcare and safe medication management to our community. You will be the first point of contact for patient inquiries and play a vital role in the smooth, accurate operation of our dispensary.
Responsibilities
* Perform tasks of drug distribution necessary to ensure the safe and accurate distribution of medication.
* Provide patient service, pharmaceutical dispensing and production activities in their designated areas as outlined in the departmental policy and procedures manual.
* Ensure that medications are used and managed in accordance with legislative requirements and hospital policies.
* Prepare sterile and non‐sterile products according to the Department's master formulations.
* Participate in departmental quality assurance and key performance indicator programs.
* Participate in performance development processes to contribute to own professional growth and service outcomes.
