About the SEMH Class Teacher Role
We are seeking a skilled professional to lead a class and deliver targeted support and teaching for pupils with SEMH needs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lesson Planning: Develop high-quality lessons tailored to the needs of pupils with SEMH, incorporating behaviour management strategies to create a positive learning environment.
* Collaboration and Support: Work closely with teaching assistants, SENCO, and other professionals to support pupils' emotional and academic development.
* Pupil Progress Monitoring: Regularly monitor and track pupil progress, adapting teaching methods where necessary.
* Personal Care and Wellbeing: Provide support for pupils' personal care and wellbeing as required.
* Communication: Effectively communicate with parents, carers, and staff regarding pupil progress.
* School Initiatives: Contribute to whole-school initiatives and SEMH strategies.
