Salary package: $95,987 - $110,489 per annum plus 17% superannuation

Position Description and Selection Criteria:
The Position
The Admissions Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the delivery and continuous improvement of student admissions to professionally accredited programs within the School of Medicines and Psychology. Based as the ANU Acton Campus and working regularly from the Canberra Hospital Campus, the role collaborates closely with senior academic staff and the Education Support Unit to ensure high-quality admissions standards are met.
The Person
The successful applicant will be an experienced administrator with the ability to prioritise deadlines and interpret and provide strategic advice on policy and guidelines. They will have a strong collaborative focus with well-developed liaison skills, and the ability to exercise judgement and initiative. Excellent administration and organisation skills are essential, together with the ability to problem solve and work cooperatively as a member of a team. Experience in admissions to accredited programs will be an advantage but is not essentials
The School
The School of Medicine and Psychology (SMP) was established in 2023 to bring together expertise from Medicine and Psychology to develop a unique educational and research environment. The focus is to produce psychologists, researchers and medical graduates who practice compassion, conscience and professional excellence and with a knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health and culture. The School partners with a number of healthcare organisations to deliver teaching and training including but not limited to ACT Health, community practices throughout the ACT, Southeastern NSW, and Sydney Adventist Hospital. The SMP is committed to extending the boundaries of medical and psychology knowledge and improving societies through research. A focus on providing students with access to groundbreaking research is core to our research led education experience. Research is conducted over a range of disciplines and organised into three main themes: Society Culture and Health, Diagnostics, Therapeutics and Clinical Car and Brain, Vision and Mental Processing. Collaborations are research and education have a national and international reach to other universities, governments and communities in the region as well as industry bodies, attracting national and international researchers and higher degree research candidates.
The College
TheANU College of Science and Medicineencompasses the disciplines of: Astronomy, Biology, Chemistry, Earth Sciences, Environment and Society, Mathematics, Physics, and Science Communication and is also home to a number of cross-disciplinary and specialist Institutes and Centres. Staff and students within the ANU College of Science and Medicine conduct research and deliver a research-led education program that encompasses the breadth of the sciences, supported by extensive international networks and by world-class facilities.
