About the Role
This exciting role and opportunity exists at TFI's newest goat processing facility located in Bourke, alongside the Darling river.
This pivotal role of Maintenance Manager would be a perfect fit for someone who is hands-on in their ability to ensure the continual operation and effectiveness of all plant and equipment across the processing facility by managing all aspects of maintenance both preventative maintenance and breakdown responses. The Manager is responsible for the coordination and control of all maintenance personnel, which includes a small team of technicians.
Your role will include:
Developing & implementing maintenance procedures, plans, checklists & processes.
Working with Management & Production a daily basis to understand key issues, priorities and actions to identify facility improvement opportunities.
Managing the maintenance team to ensure appropriate coverage for production operations. Monitoring & assigning resources as required to complete tasks on the Plant and Maintenance Work-in-Progress lists.
Budget management & coordinating & managing contractors & oversee small site capital projects
Oversee the management of the maintenance stores & stock holding, ensure critical spares are identified availability (in stock or through PMA)
Drive and contribute to the continuous improvement of maintenance Mex systems and processes.
Prioritise maintenance & activities so that high cost / high impact problems are addressed first & achieve cost effective maintenance outcomes.
Manage the maintenance teams to ensure preventative maintenance tasks are scheduled & completed against completed tasks.
What are we looking for?
Tertiary certification in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field
10+ years' experience in a maintenance management role
Experienced planner in maintenance operations with large manufacturing, meat or/ food processing facilities
Practical understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps & electrical systems & refrigeration systems.
Use & exposure with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
Proactive in resolving engineering & management issues, by planning, organizing & implementation skills.
Outstanding leadership abilities & ability to successfully communicate across all mediums and engage people with different communication preference.
