Primary objective
Provide a high level of customer service for the Land Services front counter, including assisting with distribution of products
and services to internal and external clients.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Daily opening of the Land Services front counter to ensure the delivery of service to a diverse range of clients is
maintained.
2. Arrange for the timely dispatch of products for client orders, receipt payments for account holders and survey
lodgements.
3. Process applications to shoot on vacant Crown Land.
4. Act as agent for Receiver of Territory Monies, receipting of payments, customer transactions and associated cash
handling functions for the Division.
5. Perform regular reconciliations to ensure all financial transactions are correctly tracked, accounted for and recorded.
6. Responsible for the data entry to ensure compliance with the Building Act 1993 and Regulations.
7. Liaise with Directors, Managers, Professionals and Technical Officers including in the regional offices to provide
operational advice and consistently accurate information.
8. Provide administrative and other assistance to the unit as required and directed by the Supervisor.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Demonstrated ability in the use of computer-based information systems as a primary information and management
source.
2. Demonstrated experience in first line contact, personal presentation, and ability to handle sensitive information and
maintain confidentiality.
3. Good communication skills (written and verbal), and ability to liaise professionally with people at all levels and interpret
requests.
4. Demonstrated experience in general administrative clerical skills, records management and maintenance of accurate
registers and filing systems.
5. Proven ability to work with limited supervision involving periods of high workloads and pressure, and to plan and organise
workloads effectively to meet deadlines.
6. Knowledge of cash and electronic receipting procedures.
