Overview Head of Wadhurst Music - Term 1Melbourne Grammar School is seeking a Head of Music for our Middle School - Wadhurst for Term 1, 2026.The Head of Wadhurst Music is responsible for Year 7 and Year 8 classroom music, Wadhurst choirs and oversight of the instrumental and voice program.
More than a third of the students are enrolled in instrumental/vocal/theory lessons on campus with 200 places catered to each week in ensemble and choir rehearsals.
The Head of Wadhurst Music is supported by a Music Administrator.
Given the nature of this position, the incumbent will be required to work outside of the traditional operational hours of the School in order to meet key responsibilities.Responsibilities Direct the Wadhurst Choir ProgramManage and host the Wadhurst Solos ConcertOrganise meetings with fellow music staff in relation to the program and operation of various Wadhurst concertsPrepare for and conduct classes in Music as scheduledRecruit students for the co-curricular music programmePromote the music co-curricular program at WadhurstOversee the instrumental and vocal tuition program at WadhurstRequirements VIT registration, or the ability to gain this, is essential for this position.About Melbourne Grammar School Melbourne Grammar School is one of Australia's leading independent schools that believes in the holistic education of young people.
