The ICT Contracts Manager will be responsible for improving the management, execution and oversight of ICT contracts, thereby ensuring agreements are clear, effective and consistently managed. Additionally, this role will guide and achieve effective strategic procurement outcomes which are compliant with relevant rules and policies and align to operational and strategic objectives. The role will also ensure that stakeholders understand and undertake their responsibilities to contract management. Duties include:
* manage, maintain and improve ICT contract management function including develop contract mgt plans
* develop contract management plans for all ICT Contracts
* provide governance and coaching for contract owners in establishing and managing ICT Contracts
* build strong internal relationships with contract owners to ensure effective ongoing contract mgt
* support contract owners negotiate renewals and manage their ICT Contracts
* support contract owners build strong supplier relationships to support best practice contract mgt
* advising senior management and key stakeholders on strategic sourcing and vendor management
* conduct ICT procurement activities including approaches to market, contract evaluations and negotiations for a range of ICT related goods and services as required.
* manage the current fleet of MFD (multi-function devices), printers, desktops, monitors, Tablets, mobile phones plus a wide range of other IT hardware. Including purchase, repair and disposal of ICT Software and Hardware Assets
* supervision of staff.
How you can help us make a difference
We are seeking applicants with the following skills:
* experience in managing and conducting ICT procurements in a government context including applying the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs) and the Public Governance Performance Accountability (PGPA) Act
* strong contract development experience and understanding of commercial implications of key government contractual frameworks and legal clauses
* strong analytical, planning, and organisational skills with an ability to manage competing priorities and demands
* excellent communications skills and experience interacting with both business areas and IT individuals at all levels including executives
* displays sound judgement in responding effectively to stakeholder needs, including demonstrated attention to detail
* ability to develop internal and external relationships and work collaboratively to achieve results.
Ideally the candidate will have 3+ years' experience in a procurement or contract management role.
