About The Project: EQL Edtech is recruiting on behalf of a foundation-backed initiative driving a global edtech platform. The platform needs to evolve into a mobile-native, AI-powered solution that delivers world-class learning experiences in diverse environments.
The Role: We're seeking a hands-on Senior Software Engineer to lead the next phase of the platform's evolution. Responsibilities include:
- Transforming the platform into a mobile-native experience (iOS & Android)
- Integrating AI-powered features (e.g., tutoring/study mode using ChatGPT)
- Elevating UX, performance, and scalability
Scope of Work:
- React/JavaScript development: usability + performance improvements
- AI-powered feature prototyping (study/tutoring modes)
- Repo & CI/CD management
- Cross-team coordination and roadmap alignment
- Optimisation for low-connectivity environments
First 90 Days Deliverables:
- 30 days: Local environment setup + first tangible UX improvements
- 60 days: Multiple UX fixes + mobile-native development underway
- 90 days: Stable UX baseline + 2-3 AI features shipped
Requirements:
- 5-7+ years of hands-on coding experience
- Deep expertise in React + JavaScript
- Proven experience shipping AI-powered features into production
- Background in fast-paced, high-standard tech cultures
- Explicit, proactive communication skills
