Pro Dive Cairns, Australia's premier dive training and liveaboard operator, is looking for a skilled and reliable Cook to join our friendly crew. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic, tourism-focused environment, preparing quality meals for our guests and crew on our liveaboard dive vessels.
About the Role
As our Cook, you'll be responsible for planning and preparing tasty, nutritious meals to suit a variety of dietary needs, ensuring high standards of food safety and presentation. Working in a small galley kitchen, you'll deliver breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks for guests and crew, helping create a welcoming and enjoyable onboard experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and serve a variety of high-quality meals for guests and crew
* Cater to special dietary requirements and preferences
* Maintain excellent food hygiene and galley cleanliness
* Plan menus and manage provisions efficiently for multi-day trips
* Work closely with the crew to deliver outstanding customer service
About You
You will have:
* A current First Aid and CPR certification
* Proven experience as a cook, preferably in a similar tourism, hospitality, or maritime environment
* Ability to work in a compact kitchen space with limited storage
* Strong organisational skills and a flexible, can-do attitude
* Food Safety Certificate and knowledge of food safety and handling standards
