We are seeking an experienced Assistant Financial Controller to support the Financial Controller in the day-to-day operations of the finance function and play a key role in maintaining financial integrity across the business.
Location: Kakadu NTWork Pattern: Onsite - Monday - Friday
About the RoleThis is a hands-on role where you will oversee core finance functions including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and financial reporting, while partnering closely with operational teams across the lodge.
Key responsibilities include:Managing daily finance operations including AP, AR and payrollPreparing monthly reconciliations, journals and financial reports (P&L, cash flow)Supporting budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processesMonitoring cash flow, debtor balances and implementing collection processesEnsuring compliance with financial controls, policies and audit requirementsPartnering with department leaders to drive cost efficiencies and profitabilityActing as Financial Controller in their absence

You will bring:
Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or FinanceMinimum 3+ years’ experience in a similar finance or management accounting roleStrong understanding of payroll, GST, BAS and financial reportingExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to build strong relationships across teams and stakeholdersA hands-on, adaptable approach with the ability to manage competing priorities
