We're building a world‐class customer experience and need a researcher who can define the future of our products. You will own end‐to‐end research planning, execution, analysis, and reporting to inform product strategy.
Qualifications:
* Master's Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Human‐Computer Interaction, Information Science, Psychology, Social Science, or related field
* 7+ years of consumer‐facing research experience
* Proficiency in planning, scoping, conducting, analyzing, and communicating research
* Experience with qualitative, user‐centered methods (interviews, diary studies, observation, usability testing, etc.)
* Experience with quantitative methods (metrics, survey design, sampling, statistical concepts, etc.)
* Experience evaluating, negotiating, working with external research vendors
* Ability to translate user problems and business opportunities to stakeholders using both qualitative and quantitative data
* Critical thinker who challenges business requests
* Excellent storyteller and communicator, fluent in English
* Enjoy collaborative work in a data‐driven, creative environment
Responsibilities:
* Demonstrate critical thinking beyond explicit business requests
* Operate independently on all operational research tasks
* Lead core end‐to‐end research activities: define objectives, hypotheses, methodology, conduct execution, analyze results, and communicate findings
* Evaluate research opportunities (importance, urgency, impact)
* Challenge research requests and propose rigorous, fit‐for‐purpose solutions
* Show strong project execution while expanding breadth and depth of skills
* Triangulate qualitative and quantitative findings and innovate new methods when appropriate
* Apply tools and inspection methods to quantify research value and efficiency
* Adhere to data compliance and ethics in all activities
* Drive cross‐disciplinary collaboration through research insights
* Collaborate efficiently with researchers, designers, engineers, and other stakeholders, tailoring communication to each audience
* Contribute to the research community by sharing methods, coaching, and supporting hiring initiatives
