GCLA has been providing Beyond Ordinary care and support to people who are ageing or living with disability since 1977. As a registered NDIS and Aged Care provider, we deliver tailored individual supports, Allied Health services, Supported Independent Living (SILS), Community Access, Social Enterprises, and Aged Care programs across Gladstone and surrounding regions.

We are seeking a People and Culture Leader to drive our HR, safety, and culture functions across the organisation. This is a pivotal leadership role supporting the CEO and Leadership Team to embed our values, shape an engaged workforce, and deliver exceptional outcomes for our people and the communities we serve.
The Role
- Lead and mentor the People, Culture, and Safety team.
- Provide strategic and operational HR leadership including workforce planning, employee relations, and organisational development.
- Champion a positive, values‑led culture that fosters performance, accountability, and wellbeing.
- Lead safety and wellbeing initiatives, including WorkCover and return‑to‑work processes.
- Oversee industrial relations, including enterprise bargaining and Fair Work compliance.
- Partner with the CEO and leadership team to strengthen governance, compliance, and people strategy.
- Drive continuous improvement, policy development, and workforce capability initiatives.
About You
- Tertiary qualifications in HR, Industrial Relations, or Organisational Psychology.
- Minimum 5 years’ senior experience in HR leadership, ideally within community services, aged care, or disability sectors.
- Robust knowledge of employment legislation and Fair Work processes.
- Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships, influence outcomes, and manage complex people issues.
- A proactive, collaborative, and values‑driven approach.
Essential pre‑employment checks include a National Police Check, NDIS Worker Screening, Blue Card, and driver’s licence.
