Vacation Mining Engineer
The Vacation Mining Engineer will gain industry experience through participation in a structured development program. The role will initially focus on gaining practical operating experience by rotating through various tasks in an Underground Mining environment, which will also form part of the underground experience required for a future First Class Mine Manager's certification.
The Vacation Mining Engineer will also be responsible for assisting the Underground Engineers in ongoing underground operations and critical infrastructure projects. This position will provide knowledge and skills relevant to the gold mining industry and discipline specific training.
Your main duties and responsibilities will include:

* Underground practical experience and training to satisfy the requirements to attain the First Class Mine Manager's Certificate (FCMM) under the WHS (Mines) Regulations 2022.
* Undertaking general engineering office duties with training in ventilation, drill and blast and major infrastructure projects (primary fan installations, underground magazine, underground fuel bay, surface raisebore).
* Contribute to the team culture and success.
* Assist with timely, accurate reporting within the Mining Department.
Key Skills/Qualifications/Experience:
* Currently studying a degree in Mining Engineering
* Proficient in technical writing, reporting and communicating of technical data to relevant parties as required
* Demonstrated safety and communication skills
* 1st Aid training and 4WD experience desirable
* Manual WA Drivers License
