Our Babushka's Kefir Probiotic Food Manufacturing facility located in Botany has an opportunity for collaborative and highly motivated self‐starter to join our team as a Casual Production Hand.
Reporting to the Production Manager, this is a secure position working with an experienced and friendly team in the day‐to‐day manufacturing, processing, and packaging of kefir products. The successful applicant must be available to work three to five shifts per week, Monday to Friday on a rotating day (6am to 2pm) and afternoon (2pm to 10pm) shift roster.
Responsibilities
* Assisting with the preparation and handling of ingredients used in kefir production
* Supporting fermentation processes, including monitoring tanks and equipment
* Operating basic production machinery under supervision
* Measuring, mixing, and transferring ingredients according to production instructions
* Assisting with batching, culturing, and bottling processes
* Cleaning and sanitising production equipment, tanks, and work areas
* Documentation and record keeping
* GMP, Quality, safety & hygiene control
* Manual handling/stacking of finished product
* Monitoring and reducing waste
Key Requirements
* Ability to follow written and verbal instructions meticulously
* Must be highly focussed on safety, quality & hygiene compliance
* Must be highly focussed on attaining production targets and efficiency
* Trouble shooting skills and ability to use initiative
* Experience working in an FMCG environment is preferred but not essential
* Flexibility to work shift work
* Availability to work public holidays as required
* Ability to work occasional overtime if required
* Ability to work unsupervised when required
* Ability to work as part of a team

We offer competitive hourly rates to the right applicant (including shift allowances and overtime rates). Experience in a manufacturing industry will be highly valued, however is not essential.
