Join us as a Personal Care Assistant (Part Time/Casual), where you can build valuable communication and care service skills in supporting vulnerable people within our community.
For them – here's how you'll contribute
You'll truly care about serving and supporting older people, delivering daily living supports that prioritise their social and emotional well-being, safety and dignity.
You duties include;
* Delivering meal trays and preparing their food
* Assisting with daily grooming
* Assisting with recreational activities, including 1:1 social time or helping them join in activities.
* Most importantly, you'll be providing companionship.
Shifts are available across Monday – Sunday between 8am – 12pm and 4pm - 8pm, based at our Alstonville facility.
With you – here's what you'll need
You don't need to have any prior experience for this role. You will be fully supported with training and access to a mentor for the duration of your employment.
You will need to:
* Demonstrate interest in working in a health-related or community-based field
* Have a genuine care mindset and a high degree of patience
* Be adaptive and resilient
* Be willing to obtain a NDIS Worker Check and
* Be willing to obtain a First Aid Certificate
* Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
* Work independently, use judgement and problem solve as part in an active team environment
* Have Australian Working Rights
* Undertake a pre-employment medical assessment
