MEDICAL SECRETARY/RECEPTION – Full time position
Experience:
Previous experience working in a secretarial role is preferred and medical experience is desired. Consideration will be given to providing full and ongoing training for the right person who genuinely wishes to learn all aspects of a surgical practice administration.
Duties include but not limited to:
* Welcoming patients, front desk position
* Answering incoming calls and patient enquiries
* Booking appointments and theatre procedures, arranging theatre lists
* Organising patient histories for consulting and theatre sessions
* Processing patient accounts and preparing surgical quotes
* Liaising with hospitals, other surgical practices, GP's as required
* Scanning and filing of medical records, processing faxes and incoming correspondence

* Strong organisational skills, ability to prioritise tasks, attention to detail
* Ability to work cohesively in a team environment is essential
* Knowledge of Genie software an advantage
* Audio typing experience would be beneficial, though not essential
