Job Description
Based at our Carrum Downs Site, we are seeking an enthusiastic Maintenance Technician to join our Production team. Reporting to the Operations Manager this role is responsible for day-to-day support and longer-term maintenance of the equipment and improvement to Lite n Easy facility. The role assists production to meet their KPI's and goals, through excellent communication and support. The successful applicant will be responsible for carrying out the weekly planned/preventative maintenance tasks, improvement projects and breakdown maintenance within the facility to enhance safety, amenity and production efficiency.
Duties:
* Attend to breakdowns
* Carry out preventative maintenance tasks
* Record all work into MEX system.
* Carry out tasks to a high standard avoiding repeat issues.
* Identify potential faults prior to the fault interrupting production.
* Attend any position related training.
* Carry out Root Cause Analysis of issues.
Experience and skills required for this role:
* Completed a 4-year mechanical or electrical apprenticeship.
* Fork lift licence license
* Food manufacturing experience
* Pneumatic and Hydraulic experience
* Experience in Maintenance recording systems.
* Knowledge of refrigeration systems.
* Welding Skills
* Experience working on machinery with pneumatic systems and components
* Willingness to undertake all general maintenance and preventative maintenance activities
* A demonstrated commitment to safety is a must
* Able to work independently as well as a part of a team
* An excellent problem solver and have good analytical skills
* A motivated and energetic approach to their work
* Able to work within tight time frames
