Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join Powertech supporting our Malaga, WA office on a Full-Time Permanent Basis.

The Electrical Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for electrical and electrification projects. The role involves analysing drawings and specifications, obtaining supplier and subcontractor pricing, calculating labour and material costs, and supporting tender submissions to help secure profitable projects.
About The Role:
* Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, and scope requirements.
* Prepare detailed electrical cost estimates and tender submissions.
* Perform quantity take-offs for electrical systems and components.
* Source and evaluate pricing from suppliers and subcontractors.
* Calculate labour, material, equipment, and overhead costs.
* Identify project risks, exclusions, and value engineering opportunities.
* Liaise with project managers, engineers, clients, and contractors during the tender process.
* Maintain estimating databases, cost histories, and pricing schedules.
* Ensure estimates comply with company standards, regulations, and client requirements.
* Assist with budgeting, procurement planning, and contract reviews.
* Attend site inspections and pre-tender meetings when required.
* Support handover of awarded projects to delivery teams
About You:
* Trade qualification or tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
* Previous experience in electrical estimating or electrical contracting.
* Experience in mining, industrial, renewable or infrastructure projects.
* Strong understanding of electrical systems, installations, and construction methods.
* Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
* Familiarity with AS/NZS electrical standards and codes.
* Knowledge of procurement and contract administration processes.
* Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
* Effective communication and negotiation skills.
* Proficiency in estimating and project management software.
